Yet again Resourceable has delivered significant energy savings to one of N. Ireland’s leading businesses. Saica Pack transforms recycled paper into innovative and efficient corrugated cardboard packaging solutions. Saica was founded in Zaragoza (Spain) with 6 workers at its paper production plant. In 2011, Saica inaugurated the first Energy Recovery Plant in El Burgo del Ebro (Zaragoza, Spain), thereby preventing 450,000 tonnes of paper production waste from reaching the tips.
Today Saica is present in nine countries with a team of more than 10,000 customer-oriented professionals. Saica cares for the future and values the development of its people and the communities where they operate and fights against climate change.
Resourceable designed, supplied and commissioned the lighting for the dispatch area in Saica. The area was under-lit, expensive to run and needed modernised in terms of lighting levels, efficiency and controllability. Working closely with J.R. Electrical N.I. who are a preferred electrical contractor for Saica, a solution was offered to solve all of the issues in one simple turnkey upgrade.
‘Working with Gareth Hagan at Saica and also with James Rooney of J.R. Electrical made this project a pleasure to work on. These guys are experienced professionals and the project went smoothly from start to finish, said Sean O’Kane of Resourceable. The results are outstanding and improve the operational efficiency whilst also minimising energy costs.
